All New Adult Recreational Beginner Silks!
Aerial silk is a stunning apparatus which uses suspended fabric to climb, twist, and pose. It’s a discipline that builds incredible core strength without focusing on the use of traditional gym-like methods. (Hint: Silks are FUN) Beginning on 9/11/19 Beginner Silks will meet weekly on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm. This all-new adult program is centered on providing a safe and progressive format for beginners. Skills will be taught in a way accessible to adults with no previous aerial experience, and with minimal fitness levels. Your instructor will also guide you through conditioning exercises using the silks. You will learn basic poses, beginner sequences and the components of climbing.
This class is sold as a 6-Week Series only, with limited space. We keep our classes small so that your instructor can provide hands-on guidance as you learn. Don’t miss your opportunity to get uplifted in your workout!
Meet Richelle, your Beginner Silks instructor:
Richelle began dancing at the age of 3 and spent her childhood studying classic ballet along with modern dance and jazz. She also competed in Rhythmic Gymnastics, placing first regionally and third nationally as a child. Throughout her childhood and teenage years she performed with the Dance Theatre of Oregon and the Eugene Ballet Company.
She was first introduced to Aerial Silks in early 2013 and trained at Bounce Gymnastics in Eugene, Oregon. Her journey with The Girl Spot began in 2018 when she took her first pole fitness class. She is very excited to be joining their teaching staff to share her love of Aerial Silks. When she is not teaching, Richelle is a full time costume designer.
