Meet Jess, Our Newest Girl Spot Instructor !
I've been pole dancing since May 2011. I saw a friend had checked in at The Girl Spot for a pole intro class and I was immediately intrigued. I contacted her and she thought it was something I may like because I often went to group classes such as yoga and mat pilates, and she recommended I go to class with her.
I more than liked it, I feel in love with it. It unexpectedly worked a variety of muscles that my other workout routines had been neglecting. Every class was something new, and there were always goals to achieve and mastering new moves showed I was making my progress and boosted my confidence. I became very interested in learning everything I could about pole fitness and started studying moves and techniques at home in addition to the weekly classes I took at the studio. I learned quickly that everyone develops their own unique movements but the fundamentals stay the same.
I cross train by doing reformer pilates and TRX. I manage a bar and pole dancing is a wonderful and healthy way for me to release my stress. I got my XPert certification in September 2012, and am excited to start a new journey in the pole dancing community and share my knowledge and experience with others!
