Judy Jovanelly // owner & pole fitness instructor

Judy JovanellyJudy began studying dance at a very early age, locally and in New York at such renowned institutions as Steps and Broadway Dance, training with some of the best dancers in the world. Throughout her late teens into her early 30’s she also taught classes in Connecticut, Florida and Vancouver, British Columbia, after having spent several years working in dance companies, regional theater, and as the female lead of a featured dance partnering act on cruise ships. When time permits, Judy continues her dance studies in Connecticut and in New York.
Judy is also very passionate about fitness in general. She is an active participant in pole fitness and has turned her passion for dance and love of pole into a way to help get other women comfortable with themselves and into the shape that they want to be. Kaili // pole fitness instructor

“Smiley” Kaili has been enjoying pole fitness since 2010. She has a background in cheerleading, both as a participant for 7 years and 3 years coaching at the high school level. Kaili went to a pole party with a friend and fell in love with the sport immediately. “After I had to leave cheerleading, I just felt like something was missing from my life. Staying active is so important for both physical and mental benefits. Releasing endorphins relieves stress!” When Kaili is not practicing her skills at the studio, she is busy completing her master’s degree. “I want my students to look forward to coming to class, just as I do. Life can get so hectic, it’s nice to have somewhere to go to just have fun while enjoying the benefits of exercising.”
Kaili has been certified through The Connecticut Association of Schools Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC), and most recently completed the accredited X-Pert Pole Fitness Professional Training Program. “When it comes to working-out, I get bored very easy! Cheerleading and pole are similar in that they both incorporate dance, flexibility, and strength. I feel that my background in cheerleading and my experience coaching contribute to my teaching style in pole class. I love how pole incorporates the artistic quality of movement to music, as well as physical strength to perform tricks on the pole.”
“I enjoy what I do, and want to be able to help others discover this fun, unique, and challenging form of exercise. I want my students to leave class feeling like they got a great work out and proud of the new skills that they learned!”

Alicia // pole fitness instructor

Alicia started out as a gymnast and dancer from the young age of 3.  She is currently in school for Graphic Design and Fashion Design.  Competing in gymnastics all over New England for 10 years, she then switched to dance, training in Classical Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, and Lyrical.  Discovering pole dance in 2006, Alicia fell in love with it and began to teach herself every move she could find online and through instructional DVD's.  She loved that she could express herself, hold on to her gymnastics and dance background, and feel sexy.  She created her own style of pole dance she calls being a "Polerina"!  Teaching has empowered her even more by being able to bring her love of pole to all kinds of women from all over New England, and she is dedicated to bringing the pole movement on full force to women everywhere!
